UPCOMING EVENTSMicron Optics will be participating in the Fifth International Conference for Bridge Maintenance and Safety which will take place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Along with Chandler Monitoring Systems, Micron Optics will be presenting "Real-Life Applications and Experiences with Fiber Optic Bridge Monitoring Installations"
Such installations represent a significant segment of our sensing market. Typical bridge characteristics (e.g., large structures needing many sensors to operate in harsh environments for decades) play to the strengths of fiber optic sensor systems. This is further validated by the annual increase in optical sensing system installations for bridges worldwide. The presentation at IABMAS will include detailed examples of system installations and data analysis.
The event will include about 500 papers delivered by practitioners and researchers, and we expect attendees to leave with a rich set of new tools and colleagues in the field. There will also be an exhibition that will include several Micron Optics integrators and sensors.
The event is hosted by Lehigh University's ATLSS Center -- a world renown leader in the advancement of the state-of-the-art in the fields of bridge maintenance, safety and management For more information on this year's conference, go to the IABMAS website.
